Small Cues That Make a Big Difference II

A big challenge with improving your skills is that there is a lot to work on, and you can only really focus on one thing at a time.

A result, you need to be really careful and really selective with what you choose to work on.

In the next few posts, I'm going to give you simple cues that make a big difference.

#2. Drop a Deep Hook

Many triathletes struggle with their arm pull.

It's a really counterintuitive motion, and as a result, it's hard for most triathletes to get handle on.

Most triathletes tend to pull shallow and wide.

This isn't a particularly effective action, and it also opens you up to making more errors.

The solution is to get DEEP.

You'll be able to move more water and you're less likely to make mistakes moving your arm side to side.

Further, you want to think about creating a HOOK, rather than just pulling with a straight arm.

That will help ensure you hold more water with each stroke.
